Whether it’s holiday meals, final exam expectations, or the nightly elf acrobatics, perfection often sneaks in disguised as helpful enthusiasm.
“Good enough is a gift,” says Sullivan. “It creates space for presence instead of pressure.”

Stress narrows your view. Deliberate joy widens it again. Look for tiny sparks: warm mugs, quiet car rides, the sweet relief of finishing something hard.
“Micro-joys don’t ignore the hard stuff,” says Sullivan. “They remind your brain that the hard stuff isn’t the whole story.”
