Caroline AyresMaster's Level Therapist

Caroline Ayres is a Licensed Professional Counselor that believes in providing person-centered and evidenced-based therapy that supports the mind, body, and spirit. Caroline grew up in the Lowcountry, born and raised just down the intracoastal waterway in Hilton Head Island. She attended the University of South Carolina where she earned a BA in Experimental Psychology.

Caroline spent Saturdays in the fall performing in Williams-Brice Stadium as a member of the Carolina Coquettes Dance Team. This experience helped Caroline to understand the importance of the mind-body connection and psychological flexibility. Caroline moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Mercer University where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Divinity from the McAfee School of Theology. Her in-depth understanding of how the mind, body, and spirit work in unison has given her the opportunity to provide compassionate and comprehensive therapy to her clients.

Before coming to Modern Minds, Caroline practiced in hospital, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. She has had the privilege to provide care to team and families from different ages, communities, spiritual and faith traditions, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Caroline has a passion for working with adults experiencing the difficulties life can bring in a way that meets the unique needs of each client. Outside of the office, Caroline loves spending quality time with her husband and their American Staffordshire Terrier, George. Most weekends she can be found spending time with family and friends, napping, getting lost in a good streaming series, volunteering in her community, exploring new restaurants around town, and snuggling with George.
