Background

Laura Sullivan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, young adulthood and major life transitions. Her clinical approach is rooted in authenticity, compassion and the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, heard and valued.

Laura creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their inner world, reconnect with what matters most, and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life. She is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and believes that struggling is part of the human experience—something to be met with curiosity and care, not shame.

Laura’s work is informed by values-based, evidence-driven practices, with a special interest in the mind-body connection and empowering clients to shift from being stuck in their thoughts to engaging more fully with their lives. She brings a particular passion for supporting mothers and normalizing the realities of motherhood.

Originally from Garden City, NY, Laura has called the Lowcountry home for over a decade. She holds undergraduate and MBA degrees from Providence College, and earned her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. Her professional goal is to help clients get back to doing the things they love, with the people they love—while honoring the full range of emotions that come with being human.

Laura’s values—authenticity, honesty, integrity, humor, compassion and curiosity—are reflected in every aspect of her work. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients and witness the courage it takes to show up, grow and heal.
